A Brief History
The River of Life Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church formed on December 29, 2002. We began meeting at Roy and Leslie Baker’s — Hollow Creek Ranch in the roping arena pavilion. (You can see pictures of our “early days” in the Photos section of this web site.)
As we continued to meet and the church grew, it became evident that we were in need of some land to build a place of worship. We were able to purchase 9 acres of land for $63,000.00. Several of the men met together and with $30,000.00 in the building fund they stepped out in faith by laying the foundation to our current building, realizing that God will bless when we are faithful to obey Him.
Our current building will eventually be our Fellowship Hall and Education Center with a sanctuary being built sometime in the future. In-the-mean-time we have begun construction of our Family Life Center. Presently, because of God’s faithfulness to us, we owe no money on our land or buildings. Glory to God!
River of Life has grown to become a place where people gather to minister to one another with the gifts that God has given them. With a desire to help people grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s will for their lives and the courage to pursue it. Every member is encouraged to search for themselves.
Below are our church documents which explain who we are and what we believe
